The Mike Guyer Foundation Charity Golf Tournament returns October 4th at Sanford Country Club with a $66,000 goal in honor of what would have been Mike’s 66th birthday. Golf, BBQ, raffles, the legendary Bottle Bonanza, and an exciting auction — including special items from the Navy SEAL Foundation and corporate partners — make this a can’t-miss event.

For nearly a decade, Wells has hosted Maine’s largest Salute to Armed Forces Game, honoring more than 75 veterans each year. On October 3rd, the tradition continues as the Warriors take on the Leavitt Hornets under the Friday night lights, with a special BBQ for veterans and their families provided by the Rotary Club.

Since 2023, the Mike Guyer Foundation has raised nearly $100,000 to support Naval Special Warfare warriors, veterans, and their families. From the annual football game to the golf tournament, every event reflects Mike’s values of service, courage, and community — ensuring his legacy lives on in Wells and beyond.
